Help for supporters

What do I do if I am worried about someone else?

You may have visited our website because you are worried about someone else who is affected by crime. Or you may need support because you are supporting someone else. We recognise that it can be hard to support someone who is a victim of crime and that it is also important for you to get the help and support you need too.

We understand that you may be the only person who knows what happened and you may be helping the person you care about to make important decisions on what they need.

The good news is that Victim Support is also there to support friends, family and anyone else involved in the crime. You just need to follow the same contact details to speak to someone at Victim Support who can help.

In addition to using the helplines and live chat facility, you can also access My Support Space. Provided by Victim Support there are a number of useful online self help resources and guides. This includes guides on how to talk to children, talking to people affected by crime and recognising the signs of domestic abuse among others.
